June 8 - Only a week after the G8 summited in Evian, the Banque Cantonale on the Ile de la Cité had come full circle.

Throughout the city life had returned to normal.

The buses were running, the ATMs had been restocked, all of the yellow boards had been removed and the flags taken down.  The tents and toilets had vanished, as had the posters.  The fence around the flower clock was gone and the Mont Blanc garage had been unsealed.

On the downside, parking spots in the streets of Geneva were once again as scarce as hens' teeth.
