| In the afternoon of May 30 a small group of protesters decided to march across the Mont Blanc Bridge. They wove in and out of the moving traffic causing it to slow to a crawl. The mood was festive and the drivers seemed unruffled. | ||

| Once they got to the Quai du Mont Blanc on the other side, however, they soon stopped the traffic altogether! Just a hint of the trouble that would erupt during the night. | ||
